'8th Annual Craft Beer Festival' takes place from 2-6pm in Dalton' by Philip S. Kampe & Maria Reveley

On Saturday, August 24th, the Berkshires 'Biggest and Best' craft beer festival will take place at Holiday Brook Farm on Route 9 in Dalton. The event takes place from 2-6pm and costs $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
I attended this same event four years ago, well before the 'Craft Beer Revolution'. At that time, sampling over 75 craft beers was more than adequate.
Now that it is 2013, the selection has increased to over 150 beers from over 50 domestic and international breweries.
Kelly's Package Store in Dalton is the sponsor. All proceeds help the community and are channeled to the Dalton CRA.
Last year's contribution was close to $5,000, according to John Kelly, board member of the Dalton CRA and brainchild of this event.
General manager of Kelly's Package Store,  Kollin Kozlowski, was instrumental in choosing the represented breweries for this event.

The list is nearly complete.
Breweries include:
BBC
Sierra Nevada
Shock Top
Westfield River
Gritty's
Breckenridge
Schmaltz
Butternuts
Chimay
Full Sail
Boulder
Goose Island
Lagunitas
Shipyard
Sam Adams
Peak
CBC
Slumbrew
Narraganset
Jack's Abby
Harpoon
Big Elm
Troegs
Smutty Nose
Geary's
Left Hand
Old Burnside
Mayflower
Brooklyn
Baxter
Oskar Blues

For $25, it is easily a 'MUST' attend event for all beer lovers.
I am counting the days.
